Just recently people have been sending me WMV files (videos?) and my computer does not recognise these attachments. Is it safe to download a 'reader' from the ionternet and , if so, which is best?
Thanks

VLC is a very good player, available a a free download and covers pretty much all video and audio types.
Versions are available for most operating systems including Mac, Windows, Linux etc.

I agree with the above. It can handle more video formats than Windows Media player and is less resource hungry.
I prefer GOM - nicer interface, and less flaky.

You can download and install k-lite code, then you can use windows media player to play the video.
Or you can follow this guide to convert the video
