In my pictures section in xp if you highlight a photo and then click email this file you get the resize option up which I except then it goes to a blank page if thats the word with lots of info about the photo but nowhere near my email section I can email photos the usual way I just wondered what that was all about

Sounds like your Windows OS doesn't have a default Mail client set up. Have a look here:-
