The cost of Broadband in the UK extortion, I make this statement because of what the costs are in France, Germany and Spain were the costs are half even with Wanadoo in those countries so who is ripping who off. Name them all AOL, Wanadoo, Virgin, Tiscali, Pipex, Tesco, BT etc., there is no difference the UK is being ripped off again

I wouldn`t mind being `ripped off' by those ISPs that you mention. You should try living in Hull where Kingston Communications have a monopoly, then you would really find out the true meaning of `rip off'.
I understand that most of the fee goes to BT regardless of who the ISP is. I pay 19.95 for 512 with no bandwidth limit. How does that fit?
Mine's about the same price from NTL. I think the 512k (or 600k as they call it) is more than that on it's own, but we get the Home Package & discounts for having cable tv, phone and broadband from them. I don't know of a single ISP that does instate bandwidth limits, to me it just looks like the AOL adverts preying on the uninformed by making them assume they are the only provider without them. Like when they tried to make it look like Google was exclusively for AOL users.
