My E-machine repeatedly freezes, particularly when on the Internet.
It is running XP/SP3, 512 RAM, plenty of free diskspace.
I recently changed a CRT for an FTF, and freezes seem to be more frequent, but that may be just my preception.
Any ideas gratefully received.

how old is the system
it might just be time to reload a clean install
Question Author
Hi ACT, the system is now six years old (how time flies). However, I have downloaded Firefix 3 and found it smoother and faster - so far, that is.
A supplementary: the machine came with XP preloaded. Without the necessary gubbins, how would it be possible to reload a clean instal?
Many thanks for your appreciated time.
