Thing is, the only songs I can transfer to my new pc are the ones I bought for itunes store. I cant transfer over all the ones from cds etc. or Can I?? Please can anyone help as I do not have a clue and dont want to have to do all my cds again. thanks

nothing yet! There must be something we can do! Anyone??
if they are on cd, then you can just rip them back onto pc using windows media player (several other programmes would do the same thing.but most pcs have wmp installed already)

If they are on old hard drive in old pc then there is a way of piggy backing the hard drives so you can transfer... unless you have some computer knowledge you need to find someone who has, though it is not that difficult, you need to have an idea of what you are doing
Is .wma compatible with iTunes?

In any case, you can rip in the .mp3 format with Windows Media Player.
