Why does my computer cut off sound and not play videos ? this occasionaly happens, but then goes back on after a long period of time. please help

you could try this.Open windows media player (I assume this is what you are using as default player)..click on tools...click on options....click on performance..check for correct connection speed and then try reducing acceleration speed
