My daughter has a laptop at university and the internet access is wireless broadband. The problem is although her computer says it is connected it still cannot display any web pages at all. Her fellow students don't seem to have any problems. Any suggestions on how to configure it.
It is interesting to note that there doesn't seem to be anyone around at the uni to help.

is content advisor enabled? if not then internet pages will not show at all. to find out, open internet explorer and click on the tools menu and select internet options from the bottom of the menu. click on the content tab and it should be at the top. if content advisor is disabled then a button saying "ENABLE" will be showing click it and it will turn content advisor on. NOTE:, it will ask you to set a password for it and it has to be done as part of security. use a simple password such as "easy". now restart internet explorer and see what happens

No - don't activate content adviser. It causes more problems.
