Have a new machine running Vista home premium, and is great, EXCEPT..... Can't get limewire to connect, tried everything, turned off norton, firewalls etc, and just get one green bar, ( not pro, just the free basic ), if anyone has a suggestion I would be very grateful, or is there anothr P2P that is as good as that I could try.

Right click on the Limewire Icon on you desktop, click "Properties",

Go to the tab "Compatibility",

Check the box, "Run this program in Compatitbility mode for:" and make sure it says "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)

Now start limewire
My Limewire works perfectly well on Vista without running it in XP compatibility mode so you have a problem unconnected with Vista
I have Vista Home Premium too and my Limewire runs perfectly and always has done since day one. I think it may be that you need to redownload and reinstall Limewire.
You could try Frostwire. It's very similar to Limewire. I switched when I got a virus while installing a newer version of Limewire that I had downloaded from Limewire itself! Had to reinstall XP, such a pain too! Maybe I was just unlucky but there seemed to be an increasing amount of rubbish files on Limewire, just like Kazaa and Napster before it which is why I switched. No problems since and all files i've downloaded have been fine.
