Can you confirm that the mortgage is in your name and the title deeds are in his name, as this is what you are implying.

This would be a very unusual case if it is correct - normally it is impossible to have a mortgage if your name is not on the title deeds.

If the fact is that the mortgage and title deeds are both in his name only, you will need the permission of the mortgage company to put your name on the title deeds. If you are a bad credit risk they will refuse.

Both mortgage and tittle deeds are on my partners name. The fact is that we have being paying the mortage from our joint account all this time but I think I am quite naive. I trust him with my life but you never know what could happened with his children so I need to make sure I am protected as I worked very hard for our house, and if something was to happen to him in the future I wouldnt like his kids to put me on the street because we are not married and the house is only in his name.
Get legal advice ,If anything happens to your partner, and you
have no legal agreement the children will have all .If you have a good relationship you will have no problem about making a will . x
