Can anyone suggest a good all in one media player that will cope with all, or most of the different types of media available?
I'm using Windows XP
I would even be willing to pay for a good one !!!!

VLC is highly recommended - and it's free

I have used winamp for years, I love it!! very adaptable and loads of skins as well
And its free as well http://www.winamp.com/
VLC is very good, I've been trying out KM Player: http://www.kmplayer.com/forums/index.php which is pretty good, too (and prettier) but does require some fiddling to get the aspect ratio correct from time to time.
Unless you install a plug-in, Winamp can't handle FLV files (e.g. videos saved from YouTube).

I use both VLC (as above) and GOM:

Many thanks for the replies, I tried Winamp a while back but didn't really like it.
I'll spend this evening playing with the others.
