when I click on a photo in My Pictures it insists on opening in Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 (I didn't even know I had this but I assume it came with Photoshop Elements 3). I'm given the option of opening in Windows Picture Viewer, which I want (quicker and less 'noisy' to look at), but have to do it every time. Where can I change the default to Picture Viewer? I've got Windows XP.

Isn't The Full Monty a brilliant film?

Result!! found two tall porcelain black bedside lamps with white shades (to be changed very soon!) reduced to 5€ each, oh happy day, they are 20€ in other shops. But what a job getting them back on the bus, they were only put into plastic bags which were not big enough, no protective wrapping, banging against each other, hoards of people, so I strapped the handles together with a tape measure so I could hold them better, they had their own seat on the bus, but all's well I got them home. Mr N not moaning at wasting money.

Yes it has brightened up considerably, 15º and sunny which is making my nose all snotty. I sat on the wrong side of the bus in the sun but couldn't move cos of the lamps.
Good afternoon all...black clouds looming after a lovely morning. Been for my scan, my friend over the road took me which was lovely, 'specially as I'd had to drink a bucketful of water...and still my bladder wasn't full. I must have a leak somewhere. Anyhoo, there are no boulders or aliens within, any that there might have been may have snuck out unnoticed...the pain had settled down but the lovely doc said I'd done the right thing in keeping the appt.

Shaney, you were brief and to the point earlier, did you get an urgent fao? :)
Btw...the hospital has an M&S food shop...lazy dinner weekend ...every cloud has one :)
Poor sis, apparently she already has secondary cancer in her neck, and now in her finger, they are wanting to cut a big chunk out, so she is waiting to see a plastic surgeon for some reason, poor thing.

Mr N has just served brown toast with smoked salmon, sweet gherkins and honey and mustard mayonnaise - delish!
Glad hyou've had that done now Robi - can they tell the sex of the baby yet??? :-)

Tea is what we are advised to drink when having a scan there, it goes through the system quicker or so they say.

oh dear, your sis is in the wars, neti. Sometimes even KBO must seem like all too much.
Yes jno I fear this will be the straw etc. She's been marvellous helping out at the hospice and her allotment, but this has really shaken her.
Oh your poor sis neti, she's got too much to deal with there. Hope she's got help around her.
Baby's a boy, he will be called Jesus II.
Lol ..Robinia ..I was wondering if it was safe to put my head over the parapet :)
I could think another phrase for FAO but I may be banned for voicing it ..lol..

I'm pleased your scan went well .I expect that's a weight off your mind .
Sorry to hear about your sister Neti .She sounds very stoical though and I hope things wil be alright for her .There's not a lot you can do or say in these circumstances sometimes .It's very sad.
My SiL's cousin ,whom I know quite well has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She's 82 and had black bruises appear on her breast some time back and then her nipple started to bleed .She left it and left it ,wouldn't go to the doctor ......now it's in all her lymph glands :(
I totally understand them not wanting all the hospital trauma but's a shame some older women don't have suspected breast cancer checked. These days they can often contain it with medication, with no operations, chemo or radiotherapy. My mum ignored hers but my friend's very old mum is doing well, in fact the tumour has shrunk.
My sister didn't have a mammogram so she asked for one, they were very reluctant, and she didn't think she had cancer just wanted to be sure and blow me she had 3 in her breast, she was 71 I think.

We have them every two years over here. I rarely examine myself.
I think there's a cut off at a certain age for the screening.I think it's 70 except England where it's now 73 .But you can still have them over that age ,you have to arrange it through the GP, they don't send for you .They shouldn't be reluctant if you ask .That's what they're there for !
I've been going since I was 50,they send for me every two years but I always feel about for lumps from time to time .
Sorry to hear about your Sis Neti. I have just had my squishing invitation and it says clearly that once you age out of the system you can have one on request.
We have had a good lazy day here. Forecast is for a quiet night so we might be ok.
I think my next squishing is this coming June, but I shall be in England!

looks as if the rain has gone away for a few hours, which is nice as we are going out for dinner with jadefiend, an old acquaintance who went to live in Suzhou and learn jade carving from a local master (he has a website and all, and does lovely work). Had dinner with other friends last night so I am really gadding about. Plus Jude Law and a blood test! I am getting out of the house almost every day this year.

Awww jno, I remember when I had a life ...........deep sigh
That all sounds lovely jno ..have a nice evening .Lovely things .I hope I'm looking at the correct website ! I like the heart pendant .
Here in the sticks I go out about once a week ...lol...mind you it's early doors tomorrow for the huge excitement of the Beccles market .
Never thought I would see the day when I get a buzz out of a pound of brussels tops and a sour dough loaf :)

I can barely remember a time when i wasn't sitting up for stupid hours because of the weather and stupid fireworks...there must have one but its very dim now
Sorry about your sister Neti. How does she cope! What a brave lady. You have reminded me I have to make my own appointment for my next one. ( Over the age)
I'm pleased your scan went well Robi. I hate going to all these checks but I know it's for the best. Hope your bloods ok too Jno.
I didn't have much of a walk this afternoon. It dulled over and rained so I headed home then it stopped just as I was getting in. Never mind I'll be walking to Pride Park tomorrow to see the Rams play Brighton.
I must go and get the pots washed. Going to watched the second part of Silent Witness tonight. Laters 'gaters!
Oight oight every one!!
