I had XP and Kubuntu together as a dual boot. I had to reinstall windows, so now i cant boot into linux. How can i get back the option for what operating system i want to boot, please? In very simple terms!!!

1) were you using GRUB to dual-boot?
2) I assume the windows installation left the other partition that linux was on, and didn't totally format the entire drive when installing?

Windows and Kubuntu were on seperate partitions on the same disk, and they still are And it was grub.
