copy & paste

i am trying to copy and paste a table containing text into a word document, i am then deleting unnecessary columns and then trying to sort the remaining column from a/z. but i can't sort a/z i keep getting a box that states, cannot sort a table containing merged cells, is there a way of doing this ?

Don't really know, as not sure what your merged cells are, but have you tried A/Z before you start deleting anything? It may work.

Paste the table into excel then sort it, then paste into word
