I've never come across any photo papers that are glossy on one side but 'plain' on the reverse.  The closest that you're likely to get to it would be glossy on both sides:

Amazon sell single-sided photo paper, glossy on one side only.

I've encountered a similar problem when printing out my personally-designed Christmas cards though.  I print onto A4 glossy photo paper, in landscape format, so that the front page of the card is on the right and the back page on the left.  Folding that in two then completes the outside of the card.

I'm then left with the problem of needing to print ordinary text on the inside of the cards.  My solution is to print onto (nominal) A5 labels and to then stick those inside the cards:

Perhaps you could do something similar?

Wrong size but claims to be single sided so you could cut it down.

Re the posts from Naomi and Canary42:
Trying to print onto the back of 'regular' (single-sided) photo paper with an inkjet printer typically leads to two problems:

1. The lack of a suitable coating on the reverse side means that the inks aren't properly absorbed, resulting in a lot of smudging ; and
2. Almost all photo papers carry a watermark on the reverse side, which interferes with anything that's printed there.

Khandro, inkrite 100 single sided  6x4, £12.58.  Amazon.

Thanks naomi, I'll try that.

I've been using a brand called Label Ocean but is only in A4. As you may know A4 quartered doesn't give 4, 4x6s so I have only been able to get 3 out of one sheet which is a bit of a fiddle and anyway those hundred sheets are coming to an end, hence the search.

Thanks.

i wonder if all these rich folk complaining about being turned way from free health services feel the same outrage about poor folk being turned away from the private clinics ?

I very much doubt it.

Ooops, soz, wrong thread.

naomi, It states that it is single sided gloss but doesn't mention what the back is 😟

^^^ It just sounds like regular photo paper to me, Khandro, with the problems that I mentioned at 1742 still likely to be evident.

I imagine it's white paper, khandro.  If it's wrong you've hardly broken the bank so it might be worth a try.  It could well work.

I have a pack which is a Tesco own brand.  Not sure if they still do it because I've had it for ages.

My Epson paper seems to be glossy on one side only and plain on the other, same for some 'cheap' everyday stuff I bought frm 7Dayshop.  The HP I have although plain has a logo and print direction markers on it.

Naomi Cancel that link please

Thank you both. I was trying to be helpful & nearly self-sabotaged. I didn't see it was a live link.

Thanks Corby for your proper link.
