Have you not got to Skype them?!? :-)
If you don't like being kept on hold on the phone, don't end up on benefits!

When I was unemployed I got casual work from time, meaning that I often had to 'sign off' and then 'sign on' again, leading to plenty of scope for errors in the JSA payments that were made to me. I therefore had to make plenty of calls to get things sorted out. The SHORTEST time I was kept on hold was just over two hours. On one occasion I phoned at exactly 9am, when their office was opening up. I left my phone on 'hands free', so that I could do other things while I waited for an answer. I was really, really fed up of that flamin' tinkly music by the time I heard the message "Sorry, our offices have now closed" at 5pm! (Yes, I'd endured the full 8 hours on hold and I still couldn't get through!).

Earlier this year, there were reports that nobody was getting through to HMRC's enquiry lines in under 5 HOURS.
I hope it was a freephone number, Chico!
Don't worry, JD33. I'm not THAT silly!
