Can anyone suggest a good printer at a reasonable cost, only need it for family usage i.e.printing holiday snaps and school work etc, won't have heavy usage.

C46 may suit you fine.

Epson Stylus PHOTO 200 - excellent for photos and even prints directly onto CDs/DVDs. The 300 version also prints directly from a camera's memory card without the need for the computer.

I have an Epson C46. Costs around the �40 mark and the ink is very reasonable.

Epson R200 - as mentioned in second answer. Costs ~�55 new from Boots, you get the cartidges for under �1 from http://www.ukdvdr.co.uk/ and it prints onto CDs. Makes excellent quality photo prints with photo paper.
