I have burned a track onto CD using Windows Media Player on my Windows 8 PC.

I have tried to burn a copy from the burned disc, but the system won't let me - does it have a built in aversion to copying from copied discs?

It's not a major issue - I have an old laptop which runs Windows XP and I have Nero burning software, so I have completed the with that, but it would be easier to use my desktop with Windows 8 if it's possible - ?

How would it know ?

Must be a duff copy or duff disk I'd reckon.
I often do it, with WinXP, I dont see any reason why you wouldn't be able to, Like OG said, Duff Copy!
