We bought a samsung computer from John Lewis 18 months ago.
Right from the start I was not impressed as it did not appear to be any quicker than old computer. I have had numerous problems with it and will be taking it back for them to have a look at it.
So my question is have I been unlucky or have other users found Samsung computers to be poor?

I had a new Samsung tv from John Lewis just before xmas and needing a new screen replacing. Samsung couldn't have been more helpful. I rang Samsung with the problem, not John Lewis.

Yes I understand that. But what I have found with computers and printers etc is that you go into a shop take the persons advice. When a fault develops you discover that the advice wash rubbish.
I am just after other peoples experience with Samsung computers.
Never owned one. But it sounds to me that whatever spec improved when you upgraded to it, that wasn't the speed bottleneck.
How much RAM is installed in it most of the brand name computers tend to need more RAM added as they are shipped with the basic requirements to work by adding more RAM it will operate a lot faster
One of the problems with lots of new computers is the amount of bloatware that comes with them which can easily slow them down and misbehave. Have a look in your start-up folder to see if there's anything you can disable.
I've generally found that Samsung are pretty good.
