Hello all,

Every so often my computer internet stops working and i get a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark on my little internet logo at the bottom right, i open my network and sharing centre settings and there is a red cross so i click on it and it seems to fix itself but comes up saying, "The connection between your access point router or cable modem and the internet is broken"

Then after a few hours i find myself doing the exact same thing :(

I have a virgin media super hub if this helps :)

Where is your hub in relation to where you are with your laptop when this happens?
Could be that thick brick walls are reducing the signals effectiveness.
I got round this by hitching up my old router working off the superhub but located the other side of the problematical wall. Works very well now.

Hey,

My hub is in the same room.. I don't have my existing hardware anymore, is that what you suggest i do?
No, if it's in the same room then that isn't the problem.
What package do you have with virgin - could that be the cause?
It sounds like your internet connection is dropping out. I suggest you get in touch with your ISP and have them run some tests for you and see if they can find any faults .It is best that you call them when the connection is not working and they will have a better chance of locating your problem
