Which version of linux, there are hundreds and what part are you having difficulty with?

I assume you mean install as well, not download.

Hello Chuck. My Linux is UIbuntu on Asus eepc. I am trying to download Audacity and install but find so many sites that are supposed to download and I am having difficulty finding one that works. Belated thanks for your advice on Norwegian vowels - now working. Regards

Why don't you just install it using the Ubuntu Software Center? it's available in there.
