Does anyone know why, whenever I boot my laptop up, the time and date are wrong?  I reset it and save it and it's fine while it's running.  It only seems to change when the laptop has been switched off for several hours.  Thanks!

I think computers have a separate battery for the clock.
( Well at least desktop computers do )

Yours might be defective or something

The CMOS battery is failing (or has failed). They can be replaced depending on the make/model of the laptop. I would live with it.
Yep - I was also going to add that it could be the battery running low too!

Thanks Folks...
I would also say it was the battery. However, replacing it may be costly. It is a laptop afterall!
