I am using Mail Merge in Word 2007 to create address labels, importing from Excel 2007. My question is: How can I skip fields if they are blank in the source document, so that I don't end up with empty lines on the printed labels?

is the same field blank in every record?

No, it is blank on most labels but not all
I don't think you can. If it's blank in most records, would it work to put it on the same line as the preceding field? That way, no blank lines.
