From a very wet Wiltshire. I think we are in for a bit of a battering today. [Overnight rain clearing to the east, followed by sunshine and blustery showers for many. More persistent rain later in Northern Ireland, Scotland and northern England. Gales in many places becoming locally severe later.]
Tonight: Widespread gales and stormy conditions in parts of northwest England. Occasional rain or showers in northern and western areas. Above normal temperatures.

Morning all. Wow what a vile morning. Blowing a gale and lashing rain. Seems to be everywhere today. I've been working on my Acme Build Your Own Ark Kit and it's now nearly finished but I think if it's put into the water today it'll lift-off like the little boat in Cocoon. Ah well, I've got a load of ironing to do and I've been putting it off but today seems to be the day to do a catch-up. Stay warm and dry and most of. all......indoors xx

should it be good morning or good mourning - at the moment we don't have rain but it's very, very windy and the wet stuff is denfinitely lurking (so quick dash to local shop for paper before it starts methinks) - stay well everyone
