If you have a virus (if!), then you can't magic it away.

Something soothing and viscous might help (viscous cos it will coat the inside of your throat better).

Have you tried Buttercup Syrup? Works wonders.
Your message looks normally loud to me!!
Seriously - try honey in hot water, perhaps with a squeeze of lemon or a drop of cider vinegar.
Honey soothes and is a natural antiseptic.
A nurse I used to know told me it is the only thing she takes for sore throats and colds.
Sore throats and colds are one thing, laryngitis, as this is, is quite another. As jogger says,"you cannot magic it away"

Go by all means to your "thrash" tonight and tomorrow, but be careful.
1) Don't drink too much alcohol(will dehydrate you)
2 Drink plenty of non -alcoholic drinks(will hydrate you)
3) keep away from smokey surroundings.
3) Speak normally, no whispering or shouting.

If you still want to go....good luck.
Gargle with salt water.
Suck a locket.
Keep drinking lots of water.

Thank you all - will try honey & lemon before I go out. Its only a meal with girls from the gym and am driving so no alcohol anyway!!

Maybe have an afternoon nap like an old perso before I go out too!! Promise to be tucked up early.

Thanks again!!
Did you have a good time last night? Or did your sore throat spoil it?
