Some from this charity start  from as low as £5.

The begging bowls are out in force this time of year, the TV is plastered with them night after night, hour by hour. My advice be VERY selective. Better still give to your local area if you do care to give.

How do they check they give to genuine refugees and not those claiming incorrectly to be one ? Too many like to pretend that anyone who identifies as a refugee is one.

This is s charity that treats the victims of torture.

It's workers, councillors and mental health people, could soon detect a fraudster.

Perlease!

Question Author

Ttt,

I have to be honest, I never expected you to give.

No, seriously. It's terrible how these European nations torture their prisoners that they have to flee here. Something needs to be done about it.

I hope they get the treatment they need but I doubt they'd care about a small gift when their main concern was to get away to safety.

Good Grief !  aren't we already giving them enough ?

There are ex-servicemen living on the streets with less.

14:27, Actually I would if you tell me how to identify one. 99.9% are economic migrants. I don't blame them for wanting a better life but lets not pretend. Only left wing wallies are fooled by these people.

Question Author

If someone can't bring themselves to give to help refugees they might consider charities here in the UK that help homeless ex military people, youngsters who need help.

It's the season for giving.  A little, if you can afford it, might make a real difference to their lives.

If we can't be charitable at Xmas, when can we ? , but my issue is knowing the cash gets to the intended  recipient .

I prefer the old solution, we fixed the world once already. Invade and export civilisation , infrastructure etc but the hand wringers don't like that either. Sad because the nations concerned loved us so much they are risking everything to get here now.

"It's workers, councillors and mental health people, could soon detect a fraudster."

how naive...let me guess they're ex parole board workers....

14:34 I'm in the RBL I support several military charities in fact this very week I am going to the annual ex paratrooper xmas peece up. But lefties like you hate our forces and the west so it probably doesn't impress you. You are more interested in supporting islamic terrorists.

14:35 Yeah I know baz! They probably bought into the Nigerian 419 scam!

Question Author

It didn't take long for the conversation to swing around to Islamic terrorists.

Ex paratrooper ? You working as a waiter ?

almost all of our invaders come from France, now I know that some things in France are pretty Torturous but I don't thing they do a lot of actual torture so I tend to think that they are not escaping torture.

Sandy... It's a pity that talk of Xmas and giving and compassion seems to elicit such comments as above. I feel sorry for those who are so full of hatred that they seek to preach it here.

All those poor refugees rowing across the Channel to escape war torn France.

and sadly the liberal do-gooders believe them ...so funny lol
