Ink Pot

Did anyone else who saw the Accession of King Charles worry that he was going to knock that ink pot flying?

Not sure why it was there as they all used a fountain pen not a dippy pen.

I noticed that, at one stage, William stepped forward to put the lid back on.

The table was small, the documents huge. And then the pens and...was it inkwells? I'm not surprised he seemed a bit stressed over it. I would be too.

He needed to get the signature unblemished on such an important document.
New signature for him, too. As pasta said, too small a table.
Very stressful for Charles. Let's hope he can mourn in peace today.

One of the Archbishops seemed to take a long time deciding where to write his signature.

Documents were signed not just by the King but on the other side of the table too. He did not nod but gestured with his hand, more than once, that the items should be removed. How on earth was he supposed to write over the ink wells and pen tray?

He ( Dizzy, you dozy lot!) got the European Powers to agree that the Queen ( Victoria that is!) would be recognised as Empress of India

So that the Huns ( sozza our German cousins) wouldnt say Nein
and Nicky ( Emperor of Russia ) wdnt say - - nyet
and the austro hungarian emperor went say.....foo or something
