Is petrol really 2.11€ (£1.82) in England at the moment as against 1.80€ (£1.56) in France & Germany, which prices I have just found on the internet ?

When I went to Kos in May it was just a smidgen under 2.00€.
No, my local (branded) petrol is £1.69.
And (shock horror), you will find differences in prices in just about everything you buy...some higher, some lower.
It's always been like this.
The average UK price for unleaded petrol is currently around £1.70 (€1.97) per litre:

[I paid just under that at Morrisons a few days ago].
My local Tesco is charging £1.66 at the moment.
My local garage is selling 95 unleaded at £1.59 this morning

Thanks, I'm heading off for France in the morning - Tunnel to England on Tuesday. It's not as alarming as I thought, but I'd still better tank up full in France.

After all the sun & heat throughout the Summer, the UK forecast is for storms & lashings of rain next week, - wunderbar!
