I mean, I know that's what happens at night, to some extent ...

And it's never really dark here because the sea front is always lit up like ... well, like a sea front.

But it seems unusually dark tonight.

Is it just here???

Very dark where I live as we had a blackout. Nearly three hours, came back on about 10 minutes ago.

That would make it darker, I suppose.
It's better to light a candle than curse the dark.
When I was fifteen I took a friend who had always lived in town to the wilds of the west coast of Ireland.....
On the first night of our stay she experienced complete darkness probably for the first time ever.
She was really worried and scared at the blackness of our bedroom so I told her I could see the shapes of the fireplace and furniture and therefore she must have suddenly gone blind......
She didn't think it was funny.....☺

Huge, really huge moon here. West London. Not at all dark.
I love the dark....and it will be really dark in this little close when my aim improves and I manage to put out the one remaining street light with my trusty catapult.....☻
