02.30 gmt, I just did it so no one else has to: feel free to carry on.

On the plus side, they'll still be playing when we wake up...

and weeps.
Let's hope they get their act together, is this the same side that won the Ashes only a short time ago? What happened?
Not long to go now, and boy has Perth turned on some weather for it ...in the mid to high 30s and hot nights as well. Glad I'm not there actually !
Though England might be all out by then , sloopy.
The first major breakthrough would be to win the toss......
I don't know, you guys have lost it before it even starts !! The only thing I'm hoping for is Mitch Johnson keeps his trap SHUT !!
No chance seekerz, he'll be as chirpy as ever:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/25329562

And why shouldn't he? He's got his tail up and knows some of our 'recognised' batsmen are fearful of him.
Unless he gets smashed out of the attack, he's gonna be vocal!
From the TMS blog:

Poor old England. They've just been annihilated twice in a row by the fastest, bounciest bowler in the world and now - with the Ashes on the line - they are facing him again on the fastest, bounciest pitch in the world. Oh, and it happens to be his home ground. And the venue where he blew away a far superior England side three years ago… And it's Friday the 13th…

The omen's are not good!
I am amused to find that this is the shortest wiki article I've ever read :-D

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defeatism

(I went looking to see what punishments were dished out, in WWII era so I could insert that into the thread but there was nothing of that sort). can't win 'em all.

^^^
Doh!
Play has started in Perth, Australia won the toss and is batting, look like it will be pretty warm by the end of the day and no Fremantle Doctor ( or so they say) predicted....Anderson and Broad have opened the attack, the pitch looks very good, fair bit of moisture in it but that'll dry out with the heat, and runs are coming .....more later
And an early wicket Rogers run out for 11' good fielding accurate throw and he was walking .....

Chill, I know he's bowling well ( too well ?) but for my mind, he needs a few more years and wickets under his belt before he can dish out the trash
Watson caught off the bowling of Broad for 18
Clarke gone off Swann for 24 ....they're looking pretty sharp in the field
Oz 3/107 at lunch
Is Oz 3/107 good?
Wharton - I think they're playing rounders. I saw a cricket match on the Nort Inch one day - it was so boring my dog went for a swim in the Tay instead of ball chasing.
Clever dog wolf63 :-)
typical get up put tv on for a bit of cricket before work and its lunch doh!!!
'Pitch has pace and bounce' - and the selectors don't pick Steve Finn - criminal...................
Warner and Bailey both gone in the last little while ...just saw Bailey hole out to Pietersen Haddin is in, we're on a bit of a slippery slope I think !
