Looking to book cricket tickets for next year as a surprise gift. Im not sure where it is best to sit when watching the game. There is a stand behind the crease but seats to right and an aerial view, or a stand that is sort of on a corner. Third stand alcohol free so wont be booking that one? Any advice please?

a matter of personal preference, really. Looking at the prices of the seats will show you which ones other people like most (the most expensive ones), but for myself somewhere side-on, though not necessarily at right angles, and on an upper deck (if there is one), is best. And under a roof if any! Just in case it rains.

The dearest stand is the one behind the crease with seats to the right, it isnt under cover though. The one in the corner is partially covered with the seats left towards the back under cover. Mmm, not sure what to do.
"members' stands" are often behind the bowler's arm (or one of the bowlers'). That's the standard view you get on telly. I'd go for the corner one under cover, especially if it's up a bit.
May sound trivial but if you can choose your seats then consider where the sun will be while you watch. Full in your face on a really hot day is not great...x
