Tongihts North Korea v Columbia game was held up because the Hampden Park authorities showed a South Korean flag as the players were flashed up on the screen, resulting in the ladies from the North walking off the pitch and causing a 65 minute delay to the kick-off.

Hampden now nearly empty.
Craft

The IOC is in charge of every $%^&*&((0-83 thing.
I was listening to a lady from the Olympic organisers on the radio the other day.

She went into detail about how careful they are being to make sure no errors are made of this sort.

Day 1 and it's happened already.

Just as well that not many people were watching, eh?
what do you expect in a bankrupt Scottish stadium, Alex Salmond pushing the buttons for an embarrassment viz. London perhaps? Surely not.
There's no excuse for displaying the wrong flag.

I just checked on Amazon, and they have used 'I-Spy Flags' books, available from 1p. I'm sure the I.O.C. budget could cover that, even with postage taken into account.

I must admit I didn't know until tonight what the North Korean flag looked like, but I certainly can recognise the South Korean one!

How is Hampden bankrupt DT?

It certainly isn't the greatest stadium in the world, but it's far from the worst either. I suspect Soapy Salmond is in London for the opening ceremony so, much as I dislike him, it's hardly his fault. For a change.
Rangers and all that, the stadium property company - it is a Macbethean witches brew destined for the Scottish courts with all the bankruptcy, tax, players and even where in the SFU Rangers will participate.

The good news is that the N-Koreans are probably used to it and have negotiated, inside the hour, to become refugees and Hampden Park stadium officials, come next season if there is one.

Rangers aren't bankrupt, they're extinct. Hampden is solvent.

The Rangers will be announced as a Third Division side tomorrow.
Not clear on the Rangers-Hampden connection
Me neither , douglas .
Have been trying to think of a worse mix-up of flags - nope , none come to mind .
Question Author
Argentina/UK? Iran/USA? Northern Ireland/ROI? Israel/any Arab country?

Probably not?
true - but then Scottish football is half up the Khyber and a microcosm of what is to come - take away Rangers and how much does the SFU get devalued in income terms - 15, 20 percent or more.

How did they, the SFU, ever let this happen - Rangers that is? The incident tonight is indicative of how they are screwed up and both situations are almost of Grecian proportions as to farce.

The only Rangers/Hampden connection I can think of is this year's Third Division game against Queen's Park. Will it be a record crowd for a Third Division game?
Don't remember a mix up of flags, but I remember Northern Island and Eire coming out in the same strip
including their green jockstraps?
Hampden Park is not Rangers' ground, surely.

It's Ibrox isn't it?
Waffles
It's probably Saltcoats' Reform Academy now......where Saltcoats pay them £50 for the match in the name of advertising.
Aye Hopkirk but what does it matter? Us Jocks are still running around with tartan skirts on chasing haggis. I venture drink has been taken tonight and a patented u-turn is imminent. :)
