Pakistan 53-7 at lunch! Won't gloat too early though, we have to bat yet and after last week anything could happen!

Just a little disappointed that England are unchanged. The series is gone and after all the talk of possible changes last week the management have fudged it when they clould have been blooding and looking at some of the possibles.

Bar that it's all going rather better than we could have hoped.

99 all out.

Now to prepare for the roller coaster ride that is the England batting line up! This Test could be over in two and a half days!

I'll say one thing for Dubai, they know how to produce 'result' pitches!
Boycs must be apoplectic!

Tea, day 1 and the match on a knife edge! Incredulous!

104-6 at the close is nothing to write home about. Another poor, unconvincing display on a track that did nothing special.
Looks like it'll be left to Broad or Swanny to knock a quick 30 odd on to a pretty meagre total.
Morgan needs a proper score 2nd innings IMHO to warrant a place and some of the others need to be doing far more too.

England 141 all out in 55 overs on an ordinary track. Woeful.

Pakistan currently 59-2. Try predicting this one!
I wouldn't have faith in us reaching any target Pakistan might set over 75 runs!
I think it is more to do with the pitch,Dubai is totally unsuited for playing cricket. Too hot too dry you may as well play on concrete. They are only there for the money. They would be better off organising a Rounders , sorry Baseball, match.

222-2 at the close, a double Nelson of catastrophic proportions for England!
A series whitewash on the cards, which would see them lose their No. 1 status.

It would be shameful after all the hard work that attained it.

295-3. It's all going a bit Peter Tong.....
Don't understand the sport, but on Friday morning Jack Bannister kept popping on the radio to give an update. I think 82 for 9 (or something like that) was the last I heard at that time and thought when England come to bat they'll do better than that. I presume they haven't?
Question Author
No alba, they haven't. Dismal batting again, heads must roll soon, too many players living on past reputations with no current form.
Lots of sports seem to do that. It can be quite embarrassing to see what used to be a fine sports-person past their peak.
My dad and his brother used to avidly watch the cricket and answer any questions I had.
unfortunately there's a shortage of people to replace them with. You can't really drop players unless there's someone better to take over.
Question Author
With the series gone they could have brought in young Bairstow, he's mustard with the bat. Opportunity missed there.
