world title in what?
I'm taking a guess here, but if they went onto win a world title, would they have not just jumped through all qualifying rounds? Isn't that cheating?

The question doesn't say in which sport unfortunately.
I was thinking something along the lines of someone falling ill or failing to turn up and being replaced at short notice, but the replacement still going through all the proper qualifying requirements.

Possibly this years most annoying question. Pretty sure I know the sport( there's not many you could just turn up at and win a world title) but can I heckers like find any reference to it :(
