I've got Big Sam's number, if they need it.
No real surprise & I agree, some of the players need a kick up the backside.

Carrick now in charge
Seems a bit pointless as he was the right hand man of Ole
Need another Fergie type manager to get a grip of that dressing room
Good luck with that !
united want Zizou. but he wants to hold out for replacing Deschamps at the national side, and mrs Zizou is none too keen on swapping spain for cheshire, however trendy it might be.
Perhaps it’s time for Gareth Southgate.
Hmmm, live in Spain or Manchester.

No contest.
As much as I love Ole, it was time for him go.
It's clear even for a non-expert like myself that two factors in play did for Solskjaer.

One is that he clearly lacks the personality and management abilities to manage at that level, and the players clearly don't respect him, and will not play for him.

The other is that the MU board fell for tha age-old and constantly disproved notion that a great fooballer will make a great manager, especially at his old club.

It doesn't work, and it doesn't take a genius to see that.
You insightful clever man.
"Some of the players need sacking too though." Can you be more specific, which players?
As a life long United supported, there's definitely a few I'd get shut of but I won't post their names.

Ken 'Mad the Swine' I replied to you:

It was inevitable.
Just read your reply Arky.

Just read that Carrick is in charge for next few games while an interim manager is being sought to stay in the job until the end of the season? Doesn't make sense, if true. They could've just kept with Solksjaer until the season was over. Most likely would have knocked a few K off his severance pay - rumoured to be around £7.5M
Ken - // They could've just kept with Solksjaer until the season was over. Most likely would have knocked a few K off his severance pay - rumoured to be around £7.5M //

Again from my noin-expert viewpoint -

I think that some of the players are wilfully not playing for Solskjaer, and would send the results into freefall knowing that their status is secure, and not worrying about the effects on the club or fans.

On that basis, any other manager can do nothing but improve things, they can't get any worse.

As to saving money on the pay-off, that would be a false ecconomy for a club that is rightly worried far more about results, which they don't have, than losing some money, which they do have.
Get Tony Pulis in. He would deflate one or two egos and have the show ponies doing a bit of galloping. Imagine him with Pogba and Ronny Ronaldo. He would make em cry.

Where to start ?
Pogba is an embarrassment at that price tag
Maguire is a donkey who had a half decent season in the year that England were qualifying so got a massively over inflated price tag attached to him
Shaw is bang average
Fred should not be anywhere near a Man Utd shirt and the same for Wan Bissaka
And as much as I wanted OGS to succeed you do have to question why he bought DVDB and Sancho yet failed to start them when in reality the first 11 were most definitely not cutting it
OGS had no pedigree as a manager and was appointed on nostalgia
But a lot of the players have got to look at themselves too and ask themselves whether or not they feel they deserve to pick up their wages after the last 3 performances
With the dressing room in the state it is combined with a board the fans despise I am sorry to say that Old Trafford is toxic and a poisoned chalice for any manager
Fred should not be anywhere near a Man Utd shirt and the same for Wan Bissaka I agree, why Ole' kept fielding them is beyond me.

I certainly don't want to stomp on Ole but who dare fill their Dream job at OT that is scary.
Tony Pulis wouldn't be able to manage these egos. They would have him sacked in no time.
I am now coming round to the thought that Gareth Southgate could do a job like this. He has proved himself at England.
The worst thing for United was the fact Solskjaer started well: he should never have been given the job permanently, but it's easy to say that now.
He plainly didn't have the personality to impose himself on the prima donnas United brought in. Look at Pogba for United versus Pogba for France, Shaw and Maguire for United, Shaw and Maguire for Englan. Six different players.
Then in comes Ronaldo, and to be fair no one but no one is going to turn down the opportunity to sign a player like that - and I suspect that upset the applecart even more. Suddenly there were players not getting much of a look-in any more, added to the fact Ronaldo is not the sort of player who is going to fit into the style of play Solskjaer seemed to want. There was only so long that his rescue acts were going to paper over those cracks.
