Well the festival is still on....it takes a lot to scare the racing fraternity. I read an interesting comment about sports stadiums being full and the perceived dangers of the virus being transmitted, the point being that if they close them all down people are going to gather in pubs and bars to watch instead. The stadiums are covered wall to wall with cctv and tracing carriers would be relatively easy but in the bars etc not so easy. Still....I am watching at home but one of my Brothers will be there for 3 days. Can't see the point of the ITV7 including 2 races from Southwell, what's all that about? I have picked a horse in all the Cheltenham races but for now only done....

Asterion Forlonge @10/3 1.30Ch.
Notebook @10/3 2.10Ch.
Kildisart @12/1 2.50Ch**
Cilaos Emery @15/2 3.30Ch.

£1.00 E/W Acca Double and Trebles. Done ** as a free £2.50 e/w single will probably do Cilaos Emery later. I have also earmarked Honeysuckle 4.10, Beakstown 4.50 and Springfield Fox 5.30 for later and even another punt if it all goes pear shaped.

The ITV7 is the first five named at Cheltenham and Mukha Magic 1.45 Southwel, & De Bruyne Horse 2.25 Southwell. Done a little 7 timer on that just in case 25,600/1. Good luck if you have a punt and I hope you enjoy the racing .

Wouldn't let me on this page yesterday, Togo. Had to open a separate thread. Did you draw attention from some of AB's numpties, or something. 4 removed answers. Just about to cross the 'Ts' and dot the 'is' as regards today's selections. Where's yours?

Keep it up T & K, I'm enjoying eavesdropping on your conversation.

[Oh ***, I've given it away ;-D ]
Do you mean the Spanish Inquisition, Togo. Er, The Clique, I mean :-)
Looks like Itchy Feet had leaden feet :-((
Sky paying 6 places in next race; £1.50 e.w. on Jatiluwih @ 22/1
Willy Hill going 5 places in the last; £2.25 e.w. on The King's Writ @ boosted odds of just over 44/1.
2.50; £1.50 e.w. on Aso @ 28/1
4.10; £1.50 e.w. on Spitiofthegames @ 16/1
2.50; £2 win on Frodon @ 5s
3.30; £5 win on Penhill @ 11/2 w/o the fav

Obviously disappointed with the result of the first race but as a spectacle, it was a superb finish. 3 horses giving their all. That's what the Festival is all about.

Despite some great racing again it has all gone a bit pear shaped this end. Better get weaving with Emitom, Happy Diva, Emma's Joy, & Plan Of Attack in the last 4. Do an e/w 4 timer, 4 e/w trebles, & 6 little win doubles. Do an e/w single on them all. Make a cuppa I think.
Looks like Lady Luck has deserted me, too, Togo. I'm just grateful she stayed around for 2 days. No doubt i'll see her again whenever she decides i'm worthy of a visit. Hope she brings her overnight things :-))

Oooh that was close. Though I had it going over the last.
Another brilliant finish. Unlucky Togo. £2.50 win on Minella Melody @ 3/1 in the next. Brings my total stake up to the £50 maximum I set myself last week. Bearing in mind I already have 2 bets running in the last.
Stake = £50. Returns = Zilch. Loss = £50
Running total = Profit of £175.01

Not so well in here Ken. Nice place double from from the last 4 runners saves a bit of face and means that I am in the game without needing to put fun tokens in the account. Tomorrow is another day. Knock up a bit of steak n chips and have a look at the card.
Just been studying the stats for tomorrow's meeting and I've made some tentative selections. A bit of tweaking may be required, but I don't think i'll be straying far from my provisional list.
Pricing 3 jobs up, haircut and shopping this morning so i'm a bit of an early bird. Sorted main bets out, will decide whether or not to bother with ITV7 later - probably will seeing how it's a rollover:-)

1.30; Solo @ 7/2
2.10; Ceil De Neige @ 8/1
3.30; Santini @ 9/2

50p Patent, 75p e.w. treble. 3 placed = £10+, 3 winners = £352+

2.50; Ramses De Teillee @ 12/1
4.10; Caid Du Berlais @ 14/1
4.50; Two Taffs @ 16/1
5.30; Column of Fire @ 13/2

Win/e.w. singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £50, 4 winners = £31,886.

Good luck Togo - and anyone else punting:-)

Mornin Ken and on lookers. You are off to a flyer....I have to get out handy as well and will be doing a punt later based on these runners.

Goshen 1.30
Ciel De Niege 2.10
Thyme Hill 2.50
Clan Des Obeaux 3.30
Don Poli 4.10
Two Taffs 4.50
Front View 5.30

The ITV7 is already on and is the first 5 of those with Shanroe in Milan 2.35 Fakenham, & Monarchofthegrange 3.15 Fakenham. I have done a 50p e/w 7 timer, and 10p e/w 6 timers from that list. It is a massive 2,840,291/1 so I cant even put a quid on for fear of busting the limit. :)) I have had more winners at the fringe meetings than I have at Cheltenham this week . :(( Will put a patent bet together when I get back in later as it is a pain changing the bets if you get a non runner. Good luck.

Just had word from my brother who was at Cheltenham. He and his mates have all returned home first thing this morning. Word was yesterday, that after today everything would be postponed. They have decided to travel whilst they still can, anticipating that if there was a massive rush to get home then they could be stranded. He is not a mug or a liable to panic, he is pragmatic and level headed............. sometimes. :))

Goshen 1.30 @5/2
Ciel De Neige 2.10 @8/1
Thyme Hill 2.50 @11/2
Don Poli 4.10 @33/1

£1.00 e/w Acca. 30p Doubles and Trebles. Singles laid on the first 2 for now.
ITV7; Solo, Ceil De Neige, Onefortheroadtom, Ramses De Teillee, Fingal D'Artnel, Santini and Caid Du Berlais. Only need to put 33p on to get max payout but have done a £1 e.w. in case they all place.

Done a rev f/c in the first; Solo and Allmankind
That was desperately unlucky for Jamie Moore - and for you, Togo. Really feel for the lad. That would have been the easiest winner of the week. Just had a peek to see if he has a chance to redeem himself later in the day and he has just one more ride - Gino Trail in the 4.50. I may have a littler e.w. on it.
Question Author
Still cant believe it Ken....watched the replay twice and still can't see how it happened.
Question Author
Haha another one of my brothers just texted to say that he is backing Lostintransexual.
Sounds a tad confused:-). Just done a fiver on Santini @ 11/2.
Well, Column Of Fire came to the last to challenge, only to come to grief. Another blank day:-(
Total stake = £44, returns = £0.
Festival total = £131.01 profit.
Mustn't grumble.
