Hi everyone - here we go again! With 3 weeks until the first kick-off - September 12th - I've taken the liberty of restarting the AnswerBank League at Sky Sports –

https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/

(This is where I pretty much C & P last season’s blurb...)

As last season, we're given £100m to spend & have unlimited transfers until the Match Day deadline on Saturday, 12th September, from then on you get 5 per Game Week / 40 for the season. They've kept the "Overhaul" feature, which means that for one week in September & one week in January, *unlimited* transfers will be available, *not* coming out of the 40 per season allowance - this is always quite handy!

Rules & FAQs here - https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/help/fantasy

In there, scroll down to "Captain Changes" - you should read that section.

Hopefully all the regulars will enter a couple of teams. If you've not played before & fancy having a go this season, don't worry if you know *nothing* about football - you can use the option to have a team selected at random.

When you've picked a team (or two) - yourself, or used automatic selection, name your team(s), then join the League - ours is called "AnswerBank" & the PIN you need to enter is -

8478433

You can then change the visibility of your team(s) between "Public" & "Private", depending on whether you want other Managers to be able to see the details. When your team is created, click the “Settings” button on the pitch, then click “Change team to private”.

A note here - just because I'm called the League "Chairman" doesn't mean I'm given special powers. I can't see "Private" teams & I get no other privileges.

The following links can be useful (though as they point out, not necessarily definitive) to check for injuries and suspensions prior to game days -

http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

For the 2nd link, click "Go to Injury Table Here" - you *do not* need to set up an account.

The next link can be useful near to, or on, Game Days (though final updates can be infuriatingly late) -

http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/team-news/

Ok, I think that's covered everything needed to get the League going – I’ll post reminders every now & again, more often as the opening day nears.

I wish everyone lots of fun & good luck for the forthcoming season! :-))

Just checked my teams and was surprised that they were 'public'. Could've sworn i chose 'private' in the settings. I also see that there are a few others with a 'public' setting. Check your settings, guys n gals.

Bump...

^^Ta for that Ken - info on the "how" is in the OP, should anyone have missed it.
Question Author
Another bump... These'll be a tad more frequent as we get nearer to first kick-off on Saturday.

Come on, if you're dithering, get your team(s) in - that means you lot at the Towers, for starters ;-)
There is one - can't recall who it is, now - who has two teams in the league. One is public, t'other private. Whether by design or accident?
Question Author
Another bump - roll up, roll up, get your League placements while they're hot, they're lovely...

Ken ^^ possibly "Private" for the main team & "Public" for the 2nd "picked by the computer, not as important" team? :-)
My B team looks stronger than the A team.
Question Author
"Shut up fool & quit your jibber-jabber! Ain't nothing stronger than the A-Team! Don't make me get on no plane to come & sort you out!" ;-)
I love it when a plan comes together.

A bump for the early evening folk...
Bump. Just over 24hours until the first Kick-off if you'd like to join us from the start.
Question Author
Cheers Arky - this was first on my to-do list when I finally got round to waking up a bit & this puts it back in LP for another little while :-)

We're still 10 teams short of the 29 in last season's league, so if you're a Manager that makes last-minute calls, now would be your time to shine...

A bump for the afternoon people...

♫ Do the Bump... ♫
Sounds painful.
Question Author
Welcome to the latest Managers to join the League, it means we're up to 23 teams - there's still time for more to join, if you fancy having a try :-)

Game Week 1's schedule is -

Sat 12th - 4 matches, 1st kick-off 12:30
Sun 13th - 2 matches, 1st kick-off 2:00
Mon 14th - 2 matches, 1st kick-off 8:00

A reminder now to make sure you select your Captains before the 1st kick-off each day & that this period of free transfers ends at 12:30 tomorrow.
Bump.
Question Author
Ta Arky - last bump before the 1st kick-off at 12:30...
Final double checked and tweaked this morning, I don't expect much as half of team 'A' don't kick a ball untill next weekend.
Welcome back to the regular players and welcome to newbies giving it a go. All the very best of Luck to you all, none of us really know what to expect this season, more so than most and do hope that you have fun.

As usual I'll post on AB updates of our league on a monthly basis, I always delete managers names before posting to hide the shame of their teams ;-)

Once again good luck everyone.
