Both Iniesta (Spain) and Ronaldo (Portugal) to assist in a goal being scored. £5 gets me £70. Gives me added interest in watching, too :-)

Did just that Ken. Both games finishing 3-1 would be nice. :))

Stop being greedy, Togo. 2 x 2-1 would be a decent pull for you and it would mean that i've made full use of my free bet :-) Good luck, m8.
Haha righto Ken. Perhaps the 2-1 for your bet and 3-1 in the other match for a cheeky double then :))

Bit of a strange team selection by both managers. Can only think that Andres Iniesta has a bit of a problem? The most inventive player on the planet, imvho.

Spain 2-0 @ 6/1 boosted to almost 13/2 for a £37.47 return.

Didn't know Mourinho had taken over as manager of the Russian football side. I am reliably informed by Google, that 'napk aBTO6yca is Russki for 'park the bus' :-/
Strange game Ken. Perhaps the officials are looking forward to going home without having ingested something deadly. (^_*)
Haha Ken. Got it wrong again dad. Penalty shootouts are like buses. You don't see one and then two come along together. No cigar. Perhaps keep my powder dry till Tuesday now.

Dear old Jimmy Greaves was right, Togo. It is "a funny old game." Then, that's why we love it so much. Once my bet on Spain had nosedived, i was willing the Russians on but i was more than a tad peeved at Modric missing from the spot in the evening match. Not that it was saved, but that Schmeichel was almost on the half-way line when he saved it!! Then, during the shoot-out, both keepers were ahead of the goal-line when some of the kicks were taken. Que sera sera, onward and upward, etc, etc.

Will most likely be having a couple of win singles on today's matches but, for the time being, have incorporated them into this little acca with games from some of the minor European leagues (i sometimes do quite well with the Nordic leagues).

Belgium win
Brazil win
Eskilstuna (Sweden) win
Hafnarfjordur (Iceland) double chance
Stromgodset (Norway) double chance

Bet boosted to just above 8/1 producing a payout of £47.35 for my fiver.
Loving this thread - keep it up you two :-)

Virgin territory for me with this one. Not done this type of bet before so could do with some beginner's luck.

Coutinho 2+ shots on target, Jesus 2+ offsides and Salcedo 2+ tackles.

Fiver @ 14/1 = £75 - Skybet
blimey ken...good luck...hope you wrote that lot down lol

Didn't work and, to be quite honest, it kinda spoiled my viewing a little trying to check on who was doing the shooting and tackling. Think both of those 2 components of the bet came up but not one Brazilian player caught offside!

Think tonight's match is a bit more straightforward - least, i hope it is;

Belgium 2-0 @ 13/2 - fiver returns £37.50
Had a little scorecast with Hazard first goal and Belgium 3-0 @30/1.
If it goes down to the wire could Japan win in "ninjary" time? Bet Mr "Samuraism" is watching.

I've done Kendo Nagasaki to score first goal, Togo, but i don't think he's playing :-)

Curioser and curioser :-//
Can you believe the score Ken? Mr Sam is going bonkers out there in Ibiza.
10 on @ 8/1

now had 5 on Belgium to qualify @ 5/2

The World Cup that keeps on giving.........................and taking. Giving us moments of sheer drama and taking our dosh. Just hope our lads don't believe the hype being written about them in the press. Most papers now have us as near a shoe-in to reach the final, dismissing first Columbia, then Sweden and Switzerland, as mere obstacles. And this was meant to be the WC where pressure was off the lads and expectations low. If Korea can beat Germany and Japan take Belgium to the wire (absolutely taking them apart, at times) then anything can happen. That said, i did have a fiver on Kane top scorer with Brazil winning it @ 14/1, the other day. Just in case :-)
can you have a bet on how many times neymar rolls over when someone touches his foot?
