I was shocked to learn that many vulnerable children are being forced into the commercial sex industry as a means of survival along the coasts of Kenya. It’s a form of modern slavery and it has to stop.
One way we can help is by calling on the Kenyan Minister of Tourism to take urgent steps to better regulate the tourism sector to help protect Kenyan children from sexual abuse.
Will you join me in signing this petition and speaking out against the commercial sexual exploitation of Kenya’s children?
I can understand 'Charity-fatigue' when it comes to opening your wallet/purse.....but 'petition-fatigue' when it takes less than 60 seconds to sign something that *may* make a difference seems a bit unsociable...
Ummmm...you just never know what the small folk can achieve.
About forty years ago my friend Frank and I decided that OXFAM shouldn't be using Barclays Bank......
Took us a little while and lots of nagging and campaigning....but we won....x
Long time ago, Ummmm......all to do with Apartheid. Barclays had a shocking reputation in South Africa.....so we felt it was wrong to bank with them here.......x
I still smile when I think of MrG's face when we landed up at a dinner in Calgary.....and discovered that the Chairman of Barclays world wide....or whatever his title was....was also a guest.....it was an interesting evening......☺
