Does the lack of responses to this thread mean:
I have been sent to Coventry and therefore ignored or no one else is cheerful?
you'd probably get a better response if you asked abers what had ruined their day :-)
Question Author
ael - lol. You're probably right.

I'll give it a go. I suppose I have to think of something that has ruined mine as well. Difficult today as I feel good.
Fail to see how telly not working is a good thing?
Question Author
ael - you were so right.

Off to make a carrot cake to celebrate.
Question Author
lankeela - means it doesn't get switched on.
The sun is shining...the rain that came was over night. Boy, did it RAIN!
I must be missing something - is it compulsory to switch it on if it is working then?
I suspect someone other than Ladyj turns it on.
Question Author
Lankeela - no not compulsory but it means I don't have to pretend to show interest on whatever is showing when it is on. Probably a personal thing.
It's started to rain so I won't be cutting the grass today.
If fact, I'm beginning to wonder if I should ever cut it again.
I'm still breathing..if rather laboured..my boy is playing Wombbldon today and it has stopped raining !

It’s nice and warm windows open (West Yorkshire) wished my eldest Bro a happy birthday, a few things to do on PC then the day is mine lazing about. and the cottage pie I made yesterday from the leftover mash and mince/veg has just tinged.
I'd be mortified if my telly wasn't working, especially as it's the final of the Sewing Bee tonight !

Cheerful - going out to meet a friend for lunch in about half an hour.
week end in Rhyl - do Rhyllers really say 'Crill' ? Non linguist English ( Seis) said it was crill, and I thought his is a stressed 'h' like what they have in Arabic ( h and H, leaving aside the ch in loch and r in Paree ( paris)

Nephew asked advice and took it! nothing short of mirac

Burley - I do understand how important some programmes are to some people but although I watch some of the art programmes I can live without a telly and did so for many years.

Lots to do all the time - even if it is only contemplating the insides of my eyelids.

Enjoy your programmes. OH has just had another moan about the lack of telly. I do feel sorry for him. Just not for me.
I've just had a Rocky caramel bar with my cup of tea.

I've had a little baking session : made a loaf - with tomatoes and olives and made my youngest a carrot cake. Now to make OH his favourite rhubarb and custard cake. Fortunately we have lots of fresh rhubarb in the garden.
