Atheists have had great success in rubbishing the concept of a First Cause, i.e. God, as the prime mover and shaker of all of Creation.
Science simply says, "We don't know, but one day we will."
Sorry folks, that is simply not good enough when eternity is at stake.
So the question is, should not atheists seriously consider the possibility of God and adjust accordingly?

Mibs, what on earth can you mean? He damn well invented nuclear fusion - only he didn't tell anyone about it until fairly recently. Had you, however, delved into the pages of a certain 1500 year old book, you may well have been astute enough to spot the clues he left there. Drat! Missed that one didn't we!! ;o)

err... cough ...cough. I trust you'll keep my murky past...under your hat. Nudge nudge. ;o)

Chakka, I hope I'm wrong, but I fully expect Theland to disappear for another 6 months again now. Whilst you're quite right in saying he has no argument, he has a superb sense of humour - and that's something I miss greatly here. I must say between the regular custard pie fights we did have a lot of fun.

Naomi, What's up with that Guy (in the sky), keeps changing His story but can never get it right! It's a wonder He didn't blow Himself up with that Big Bang thingy . . . hmmm???
Mmmm ... a thought. Maybe .... just maybe...... he didn't do it! He just pretended he dunnit! Ah, yes ..... (Naomi scratches beard and nods sagely) ....highly suspicious!!

I wonder why nobody's ever thought of that before?!! Or have they?
Hell if I know ;o)
Dang! An' I was a'countin' on y'all!! D'ya think I ought to post the question in Science?
Why I thought that was a very philysophical answer to your question Naomi.
If it's phylisofics yous talkin', it's a'gunna be lost on me, ain't it. ;o/
Oh sure, wyz and naomi, Theland is quite a cuddly mascot on this site. I was merely trying to warn those that don't know him that there's no point in trying to point out where his 'First Cause' mantra is flawed because he won't respond in any way. Theland has a mouth, sometimes an amusing one, but no ears.
