All that time and money spent on rehabilitation. I think many of the public want to know if any of it worked. Especially as it's the tax payer who funded it.

If he crime was very similar...then obviously not.

If it was something completely different....then he might have had other issues that wasn't addressed.

There are wider questions to ask of say the probation services and all the other hand wringing liberals involved.
In addition print his picture, name etc, hopefully it will stop the wrong person being lynched. If your in the Jail with him I'm prettysure it would not be difficult to work out who he was.

I have received a text this morning (one of those which are you are asked to pass on to as many people as possible) detailing his new identity and name, where he has been living and what (rumoured) crime he is supposed to have committed. Apparently details are supposed to have been leaked from a prison officer who thinks the "public have a right to know".

I will not be passing it on. The 'crime' is not a petty one (though nothing like his first one), but there is no firm evidence that any of the info contained in the text is true. I hope it's not and I suspect it's not.

Original crime was hideous. We don't know whether his recent activity warrants being charged and tried. Could be this sneaky, spinning government and Jack Straw in particular, see Venables as a good smoke screen in the run up to the election.

also if he had posed a threat he'd have been locked up and he wouldnt be getting back out at all and then she prob would be advised so that she doesnt go blabbing her mouth all over the tv again!

surely if everything comes out in the open there is no way he would get a fair trial and from what I read it could even jeprodise any trial resulting in it maybe not going ahead. I sympathise with Denise Fergus but surely she should accept this for now. Also they were saying that I think it was she was calling for those who were monitoring him to be sacked. I would not have thought anyone was watching him every minute of the day but as it appears he has done something and is now back in custody then surely they have been doing their job so why sack them?
