Your questions seem to elicit more difficulties than any possible responses pose............

What exactly do you mean ?

Humanity is a term that refers to either the human race, or human nature, or, being humane.

Please narrow the goal-posts a little...............

Why ask this in "Religion and Spirituality" anyway?

At the risk of contradicting myself, I "think" humanity IS largely mindless, actually.
Humanity is not a conjoined entity. We each begin the establishment of our individual identity with the cutting of the umbilical cord. The mind exists within the domain of an individual who with proper guidance and development learns to accept responsibility for their own existence and happiness.

We should seek only mutually beneficial relationships where they can be found when we are able to initiate them through a process of rational discourse based on shared experience with and understanding of the world we observe and rely on for our survival and well-being.

My apologies if this has nothing to do with your question? It was intended as an exploration for common ground through which mutual understanding might be achieved.

hi,
i meant human life confined to its' "possible" limitations, so that would include the three definitions mentioned.

i put this in religion, as it could be looked at from a nature/nurture perspective.

also it could be seen as a 'question' on the 'mind' and its history and development.
