If you're not particularly religious then Good Friday's significance won't make much sense apart from a possible holiday. If you do follow religion then the name may still cause confusion as a Holy holiday giving reference to J.C's crucifixion.
Translated from Dutch it means "Good Friday" but Holy Day in many other languages.
The decision to call it good was probably not the best choice of words.
