Canary, if you had said that to my Mum, she would have said, 'God moves in mysterious ways' or something similar.
Something else my Mum would say is, 'There's always someone worse off than yourself.' which I do believe.
Canary, did you mean to put my thread?
And many would day 'Thank God for my hip replacement!'
except it is his knee

I would have it replaced to be honest- rest paind and lack of sleep are all pointers. Pt s have the right to say - - "I dont want X"
PP //except it's his knee//
Except it's HER knee
'Cause I'm a woman! A W-O-M-A-N, I'll say it again
'Cause I'm a woman! W-O-M-A-N, and that's all
Im going to the funeral of a very close work collegue on the 28th of this month.
She had a cancer (And in recovery) but died of a stroke.
No on ever said that there was any justice in this world.

Any Religious person on here is equally entitled to jump a few hoops to reason that their God is the one and only God....

They'd be wrong of course but whatever...
No 'LOVING' God exists.
Anywhere.
In any texts
Anywhere
At any time
In any scriptures
Theres always caveats...
Corinthians 13
//4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.//

Show me a church that does this and I will be a follower, without a doubt.
St Paul ordained this but no church practices this ^^
We are not living at time when Jesus did miracles, but will come a time when all our ailments will be gone, for those who pray for God kingdom and who support it and believe it. ( John 17:3)
And the rest will be destroyed. Nice.
That not what I said.

You could be right in accepting the prophesy of John. However you have to realise that the time to come when all ailments are gone won't be next year, a hundred years, a million years, or a trillion years. If it comes it can only be after eternity ends, and we all know .......
Goodlife, //That not what I said. //

But you think that's what will happen and you're relishing the day.
Jesus did say “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.37 For just as the days of Noah were, so the presence of the Son of man will be.38 For as they were in those days before the Flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,39 and they took no note until the Flood came and swept them all away,(Mat 24:36-39)

So today they still take no note.

goodlife, genuine question.
My work colleague was a nurse for 16 yrs caring for the ill.
Upon retirement she worked for the foodbank and other charites full time.
Her entire life...paid and unpaid...was dedicated to helping other human beings....
She wasn't a JW.
Will Jehovah DESTROY this lady?
And if he will?
WHY????
Not for me to say. but the Bible says For God is not unrighteous so as to forget your work and the love you showed for his name ( Hebrew 6:10)
For instance when we pray about something, we must do everything we can to work at what we are praying for.
For example, if we pray for our daily needs, then we can’t be lazy and expect Jehovah to give us everything even though we are able to work for it. We must work hard and accept whatever job we are able to do. (Matthew 6:11

Or if you follow the Golden Rule. This rule is expressed in these words spoken by Jesus during his Sermon on the Mount: “All things . . . that you want men to do to you, you also must do to them. This, in fact, is what the Law and the Prophets mean.” (Matt. 7:12) When we treat others as Jesus counseled, we act in harmony with the spirit behind “the Law”and From such writings it is clear that God blesses those who show love for others.
//Not for me to say.//
Yes it is!
You're expounding on God's word
(Which you are well versed in).
So will God destroy her (as an unbeliever) or not?

Nailit, disingenuous as always, he’s forgotten he’s already said …. more than once. In Goodlife’s imaginary future world your friend is a-goner.
