Just what is avaiable for discussion?

3T can post a flippant 'Psalm 23' question, that is open ended?

Theland posts a theological question that is open to debate by both believers and unbelievers alike, yet that is closed.

The Ed (spare Ed?) has clearly said that no topics are off-limits, very recently. So, I think if you get the wording right, you'll be fine x

I was still interested in the other one...
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.

How He upstairs tolerates TTT and a few others on here, who knows? I just hope there are bigger issues in Alpha Centauri that need sorting out.
If it came to a natural end, there would be no need to close it.
I would suggest, that if you have more information to add to that thread you start a new one and make it clear it's to be seen as an attachment to the closed one.

That way people will see your extra input.
A natural end pixie in that the original topic had been exhausted and it seemed just like a two way conversation going nowhere but filling up latest posts. Just a thought. I wasnt looking in so dont care if it becomes 3600 posts

Bobbin, still, a "natural end" doesn't need to be closed. People will either add to it or they won't.
You wouldn't close a thread unless it was very problematic.

//what were you going t say that was different fromt he last 300+ posts?//
Was that addressed to me bednobs??
Bobbs - yes it was
the last twenty posts was the usual bickering between the usual suspects
It's difficult to lay down clear and unambiguous guidelines. Each thread/post gets treated on a case-by-case basis, ideally according to the same standards, but it's common even in stricter settings that the same rules applied to the same case by different people leads to different outcomes. This is expected and normal, and I guess you'll just have to get used to it.

Still, as a matter of general advice, try not to be rude, not least to the people who host the site and who keep it relatively clean from spam, and that'll stand you in good stead.
