pixie - // I've never had any aim or intention of getting theland to change his views (whatever it may look like). But, for my own reasons, I'm more interested in what and "why" he thinks that way. And more importantly- exactly how far he is willing to go, to try to justify his views. //
I have no interest, or intention of trying to change Theland's views either.
My years of exchanges with Theland can be sumarised like this -
T - God is everything, he is right, I know he is right, there is no wrong, that's it.
A - How do you know this? You have no evidence that God exists, and I do not believe that you can know what he thinks or wants - so whre is your evidence?
T - The evidence is in the bible.
A - But the bible is simply the writings of men, that is neither evidence or proof of God or his thought and intentions.
T - God is everything, he is right, I know he is right, there is no wrong, that's it.
A - You've said that - repeating is simply repeating it, it does not make it right, nor is it evidence. I simply want to know where your evidence of God comes from.
T - The evidence is in the bible.
A - You've said that as well, and the same logic applies - reading something is not proving it or giving evidence that it is true.
T - God is everything, he is right, I know he is right, there is no wrong, that's it.
Rpeat with minor variations about twice a week for several years, until one of the parties simply gives up.
That would be me.
