The United States Of America was founded on Christian principles, by Christians, who gave due regard to God.
God blessed them, to become the richest most powerful nation on Earth.
Then began the long process of pushing God out of the public arena, the educational institutions, and the ascent of atheism.
Added to that, millions of unborn babies have been aborted, in the name of social justice and progress.
This is not pleasing to God, and so what has He done?
He has inflicted Joe Biden on them, and the country is already going to the dogs.
Illegal crossings on the Mexico border are at a fifteen year high.
God is punishing the USA, and will continue to do so.
Problems will increase, piling up to even more social unrest, economic instability, and military compromises.
God is not mocked.
Watch the USA pay for its disloyalty.

'Party time for atheists'? Please, don't go into 'poor beleaguered me' mode. If you're going to make a series of grand pronouncements, you will be expected to provide some reasoning for them - that's why you're being questioned.

''Gods decision to punish parents ......... death.''

God does not decide to punish parents in the context you describe.
By all accounts your "God" is unknowable so how come you know how he/she/it decides to punish?
Theland, stop worming. It's disingenuous. You know exactly what I'm talking about.

2 Samuel 12:13-25
The USA provides guided weapons to Israel so they can successfully defend the promised land - surely the big man upstairs approves of that?
I have no idea what you think Theland, which is exactly why I asked? Would such cases be exempt from your abortion ban or is it just bad luck to those victims? No "moral superiority" here just plain and simple questions, albeit ones which you seem to be elaborately attempting to dance around.
The United States was formed on the virtual elimination of the native inhabitants. Sound Christian principles indeed.

Are you saying God was wrong?
Do you think he was wrong?
Question Author
God can't be wrong.
Then can you (and other theists) be wrong in understanding His intention?
Question Author
Of course.
Then maybe it is worth considering that you are not carrying out His intention, because no loving God would act this way.
So, let me get this straight, Theland. You condemn girls who are in dire straits for undergoing abortions, but don't condemn God for murdering a baby out of spite? How does that work? It sounds to me that your moral code is dangerously askew.
//God can't be wrong.//

That's not true. Read your bible and get it straight from the horse's mouth.
Surely experience has taught everyone else - as it has taught me - that trying to debate with Theland is a complete and utter waste of time.

In spite of his numerous protestations that he likes to dicuss and 'educate', he is of utterly rigid and unchangebale views.

He refuses to accept even the posibility that he pronouncements on what God thinks and wants are based on what he thinks and wants, since I don't believe that he has God's ear, or that God advises Theland of his plans.

I have withdrawn from debating theology with Theland, it is frustrating, circular, annoying, and pointless.

I advise any and all regulars to do the same - spend your time more fruitfully, put the things in your fridge in alpahabetical order ...
Not me.
Naomi - // Not me. //

Fair enough - but as someone who has probably spent more time not getting anywhere with Theland than anyone else on here - what do you hope to get out of continually failing to engage meaningfully with him?
My interaction with him is meaningful.
Naomi - // My interaction with him is meaningful. //

If you say so.

I have read all of it, and that indicates that you and I have very different thoughts on the meaning of the word 'meaningful'!
