I can find reports of protests in China (albeit short-lived, it being China and all that), but I can’t find any more, so Theland appears to be right. Muslims elsewhere aren’t taking to the streets in their thousands as they do when cartoons are published in the west.

The Church hierarchy certainly don't help.
They embrace islam as an equal faith worshipping the same God.
It isn't, and they don't.
The mealy mouthed bishops don't know their own scriptures.
Like it or not, Theland, they do worship the same God - just a different version of him.
Theland......Please tell me what it says in the Bible about Islamists worshiping a different God to that which you worship.

Hans.

Let’s start with the obvious: Christians believe Jesus is God, but the Quran is so opposed to this belief that it condemns Jesus worshipers to Hell ([Qur’an] 5.72). For Christians, Jesus is certainly God, and for Muslims Jesus is certainly not God. How can it be said that Christians and Muslims worship the same God?
When I attended a Cof E high church TL I was told Jesus was 'the son of God'. Did I misunderstand ?
Theland, all Christian sects do not believe that Jesus was God - but then you’ll say they are not Christian - just as they say you are not Christian.

All of that aside, just imagine how much less hatred there would be in this world if no one worshipped that God.

Hatred?
From anybody truly following Jesus?
Impossible.
Theland ......Where's your proof that Jesus was/is God or for that matter was even the son of God.. He never ever claimed to be. If you insist he was as you say, please give me the appropriate references in the Bible.

Hans.

Hans. Don't try to trip me up with trivia.
I haven't the time or the inclination.
Theland, typical response. It’s not me, guv, it’s the others. If you want a grown up discussion piety won’t wash. I asked you to imagine a world where no one worships that God. Give it a try and, bearing in mind that the vast majority of us are law-abiding, reasonably compassionate, reasonably altruistic, and reasonably responsible people, tell me why that wouldn't benefit every society and the planet as a whole.
The atheists prattle on on on ad nauseum with their infantile "gotcha" interrogations while standing outside in the cold, they remind me of the old Spanish proverb:
'Speaking of bulls is not the same as being in the arena.'
Theland 13:10. You are full of hatred, even though you don't realise it.
Khandro. What are you talking about? Are you in the arena?
Theland. Did Jesus ever claim to be the son of god, as Hans asked? Maybe answer a question for once. Wirral doesn't mean "leave me alone, I don't have to talk to you."
Khandro, Speaking of bulls, how you disappoint. You portray yourself as an intellectual and yet presented with a rational proposition that is not to your taste you descend into something rather less. Why don’t you have a go at answering the question I put to Theland?
Question Author
Atheist - full of hatred? OK then. As you will.
Now am I to launch a lengthy and comprehensive defence of my personality?
And if I don't, the accusation stands unopposed?
That's hardly fair, and of course, you are not a psychologist, or knowledgeable regarding me personally.

Naomi @ 15:40 - A world with no knowledge of God?
A truly hypothetical question.
The problem is twofold.
First, human nature drives curiosity, therefore science and philosophy, and the inevitable big questions, so far unanswered.
Change human nature, and maybe people will make a better world, without the various religions.
Secondly, God has revealed Himself to us, not least in the Creation, and so, human nature again, mankind tries to reach God, bridge the gap between us and Him.
That process is religion, and the friction between them.
So you asked a good question, but without a complete change in human nature, it is unanswerable.
I tried my best.
Theland, //A world with no knowledge of God? //

No ... a world with no worship of God. Try again.

Atheist and Hans - '' I am the way the truth and the life, nobody comes to the father except through me.''
All of the attributes of the Father are manifested in the Son.
The inspired scriptures of the apostles are further proof of Jesus being the Son of God.
There are numerous indicators in the bible to this.
But you must know of them surely if you were a member of the Welsh church?
Man has now the ability, through cloning, to create life. Does this mean we have surpassed God? Do we need him anymore? Maybe it's time the children left the parent behind.
