If there is a God, why has such a supposed loving almighty allowed such a tragic event to happen.

//The point is- why do people believe? Is there no point to that either?//

I don’t think there is much point wondering why people believe, as people have various different reasons I imagine.
I think more the point would be why did the very 1st believers believe
The bible is a very difficult book, history, metaphors, anecdotes, parables, philosophy, and instruction.
It is laughable to hear somebody say they have read it and imply they understand it.
Quantity over quality.
I have never read the whole bible, but I continue to read it, and listen to expert Christian apologists lecture on it, as well as scientists who through their research defend it.
No skin off my nose if you reject it, it is not me you will eventually have to answer to.
Theland, what makes your Christian apologists any more expert than others who have studied the bible equally seriously?
Theland, as you have never read the bible, how do you know christian apologists are experts?
Naomi - So called bible experts that trash the bible are few and far between, and even I can see through them.

Vulcan - Listen to some and see if they make sense?
For example, take the time to listen to Ravi Zacharias.
Stephen C Meyer. John Lennox. To name just s few.
11:12 don't bother Percy.
Theland, even people telling lies can make sense.
12:54 NO, you don't say ..
Theland, that doesn’t answer my question. Try again.
the bibiel was written by lots of people and at different times, to say it's truth is delusional, a lot of it was borrowed, so all the writers were divinely inspired, i guess then, that a lot of gods genocides were ok.
no proof writers back in the day..
Naomi - they both present evidence. Which makes more sense?
Listen to Dawkins, Hitchens, Dennet, Krauss.
No contest.
Only one puzzles me, Bart Erhman.
Your Christian apologists make about as much sense as jehovah’s Witnesses - but you don’t believe them.
bilingual higher power lol
Naomi - It appears to me that your atheism is set in stone and not up for debate.
Your questions and comments are either for your own amusement or deliberate attempts to trip me up, along with any other believers.
You are strong on criticism but weak on supporting evidence for your views.
Theland, you’re worming out again. Why are your Christian apologists more expert than others who have studied the bible equally as well?
Fender, that should worry everyone.
Naomi - it's simple. Listen to the evidence from both sides and then decide. I have.
Bet you've never listened to the 'evidence' from Jehovah's Witnesses ... or Mormons ... or from anyone else you've decided you disagree with.
