If I were to ever take up (or search for) any spiritual path again, I don't think that I could go far wrong with looking at its practicioners first.
This guy has so much love and compassion (and wisdom if im honest) that the self righteouss and indoctrinated could learn from.

You're so right Nailit, if I had half of his calm, compassionate aura I'd be very happy.

Except that they don't!!
In Thailand, dare to go into a Buddhist temple and sit with your feet towards the statue of the fat guy and the temple police will tell you off. Comply or get arrested.
Join them if you think you will get peace.
The statue of the fat guy? No respect for the founder of a religion/way of life that doesn't hurt anyone else....and must be the only one that doesn't...... just rude IMO
How calming.
If only all the world leaders could be so peaceful and less aggressive.
Spiteful theland. You could learn a lot from them.
If I had to find a spiritual path I’d go with the Quakers.
Spiteful? Watch the news from Myanmar.
Is that what I could learn, ethnic cleansing?
Cleverjo - why?
" Is that what I could learn, ethnic cleansing?"
What's the difference between that and flooding the world?
Theland, they don’t force beliefs down your throat, you’re not threatened with purgatory or hell, in their meetings you can sit in silence.
Noah's flood was God destroying what He had created, His right to do so.
Buddhists have no right to murder Rohynga.
Cleverjo- who has tried to force beliefs down your throat?
"His right to do? now I know you're twisted.
Ey up, we’re back to Noah. I think you’ll find we tore the Noah story to pieces, Theland.
Remember Theland, this is your loving God you're talking about.
Theland, Cof E, Jehovah’s Witnesses.
I invited JWs into my home because I wanted to find out more and also because I was lonely. They said I would have to apologise for having a baby outside marriage, so that was the end of that.
My son went to a Quaker school. It said it was open to people of all faiths and none.
We didn’t need to pretend to be fervent churchgoers for him to get into the school. Unlike the Catholic one round the corner from us.
